This bed and breakfast cannot be overrated. Everything is just perfect. The rooms and bathrooms are nice, cozy and very inspiring. The bed and breakfast have 3 rooms. The breakfast is so well prepared and the selection, even gluten-free, is huge. For visiting the Llŷn peninsula it is perfectly situated. We used it for a week for walking the Wales coast path on the peninsula.Paul and Carys are very nice people who welcome you in a great way and we enjoyed our talks with them. - Thor-Ivar E
We were looking to stay in a B&B near to Tre’r Ceiri hillfort and were fortunate to come across Yr Hen Felin. Our requirements were proximity to the hillfort, a comfortable bed and a good breakfast to set us up for the day.At the time of booking the choices were two: a room with green decor that looked very cosy and one in striking yellow, black and brown. We chose the latter with its 7ft bed and walk in shower. The photographs on their website couldn’t prepare us for how magnificent it was when we came through the door, facing the bed with striking horse picture above it.Everything was supremely comfortable and our hosts delightful. There were biscuits, bars of chocolate candy, cold water and milk in the fridge together with a wide selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate.Additionally a welcome chunk of bara brith with butter on the side. There was ample info on where to eat and drink locally.Breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked with fruit, yoghurt, cereals to suit and toast with preserves. We have worked in the hotel trade ourselves and know what to look out for but there was nothing to fault, only delight in.We will be back and hope Charlie the cat will be around for good stroke.- Alwen W
Yr Hen Felin has provided us a stay which goes beyond what I’ve experienced at 5* hotels. From the room, the incredible bed, the furnishings, the treats, the breakfasts and location, everything was best in class. This isn’t mentioning the highlight of the stay, which is the service and care provided by Carys and Paul. They are incredible hosts and wonderful people. There isn’t a better stay in North Wales.- Jacques O
