I could not find one fault with this lovely place to stay. Paul and Carys have a beautiful home which it was a privilege to stay in. Everywhere is decorated and furnished beautifully with every need catered for. Breakfast was cooked to perfection by Paul. Yr Hen Felin is situated in a lovely location and is a perfect base to visit anywhere along the Llyn Peninsula. I would highly recommend 😊

On arrival at Yr Hen Felin we were met by Carys and Paul and immediately felt at home. We stayed in Ty'r Felin in room 'Cariad', our comfort was assured due to the high standard of the room and it's ensuite facilities. Breakfast was served in the dining room with fresh fruit,yoghurt,cereal and a full cooked breakfast too. Carys had local knowledge at her finger tips.We would return here anytime.

Really enjoyed our stay at Yr Hen Felin and were made to feel very welcome by Carys and Paul.. The lovely large bedroom (Blue & Cream) was immaculately clean, the bed comfortable, the room felt peaceful and private. Both en-suite and room were very well equipped for a comfortable stay. Wide choice of good quality food served at breakfast. Well run B&B, great attention to detail. Highly recommend, will stay here again next time we are in this beautiful area.

We had a ten-day break at Yr Hen Felin. The accommodation was great. Our room was spacious and well appointed. As an insomniac, I slept very well! The breakfasts were delicious with a good choice on offer. Paul and Cary’s, our hosts, looked after us extremely well and are very knowledgable about the local area. Not only that, but they provided decent weather too! The Llyn Peninsula is a beautiful place to visit - particularly if you enjoy walking or watersports.

This was a return visit after a wonderful time last year. This time with other family members in 2 rooms. Carys and Paul are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble ! The bedding and linen are first class and the breakfast delicious with plenty of choice and fresh, local produce. Some members of our party were vegan and the hosts went out of their way to ensure non dairy products were available. The location of this property for touring the Lleyn peninsula is excellent. I would highly recommend this property.

What an amazing little gem we found, amazing welcome from Cary’s and paul, lovely people, room was stunning and beautifully decorated, we stayed for 2 nights but it felt like we had known them for years. Great nights sleep, so peaceful, then the most wonderful breakfast. Great location to explore the llyn peninsula and Snowdonia. Loads to do within 30 mins. Yr Hen Felin is a wonderfully comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well equippedwith every possible need catered for. The huge comfortable beds and beautiful bedding guarantee a good nights sleep and the breakfast is all you could hope for and more. Have stayed here before on many occasions which speaks for itself. Carys and Paul are fantastic hosts and nothing too much trouble. Made to feel at home immediately you set foot in the beautiful home they have. Their attention to detail is wonderful, you have everything in your room you need and extras. .The dining room for breakfast is beautiful with crockery cutlery, napkins etc all matching.Breakfast is delicious, especially the berries and yogurt starter then you have the hot food which is really tasty. To be honest you are set up for the day and no lunch will be required.Will be there be again. Thank you for making our stay special.

I don't know how Paul and Carys do it, but they keep up an astonishing level of service at Yr Hen Felin. Every year we go there we expect to see cracks appear, but every year they are as hospitable as the last. Incredible eye for detail, and very friendly. Just a bit disappointed that Paul failed to organise the weather too for us this time! Mind you, it's the first time, so we were playing the odds.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Blue and Ivory room. We were delighted with the room and we were very comfortable and had everything we needed and more! The fridge was especially useful and fresh milk provided daily was very welcome. It is obvious that Paul and Carys have spent a lot of time and effort into creating a wonderful place to stay. Just returned from a wonderful weekend away at Yr Hen Felin.It is a beautiful place to stay. We had a gorgeous suite that had a super king sized bed and a spacious ensuite. Like the rest of the b and b it was adorned with top quality, unique furnishings. The place was immaculate and the breakfast room stunning. Our breakfast was top quality and delicious.The owners were very friendly and were happy to tell us about the local area. There was also a residents lounge with lots of tourist information. Enjoyed Edern, Morpha Nefyn and Nefyn beaches were unspoilt and the views were amazing.We would love to stay at Yr Hen Felinagain and will be back. Thank you.

Went last year with 2 additional couples who hadn't been to the area before. They loved it hence the second visit. Although the Lleyn Peninsula is lovely especially in good weather the highlight again for all of us is the Bed and Breakfast. You couldn't ask for better. There isn't enough room to mention all the positives but in brief, great hosts, beautiful rooms, every extra you could imagine and fantastic breakfast. 🙂

We stayed 4 nights and were splendidly looked after by Carys and Paul who are lovely people.They had thought of everything that guests might need, there was even a small fridge in the bedroom, and a spacious super-king-sized bed.Everything is immaculately clean and new, and there is ample parking in the courtyard immediately outside.Breakfasts were excellent and I recommend the 11-fruit-salad to start with, although there is a superb range of cereals.

Greeted warmly on our arrival and from walking into the front door I knew this place was special. Everything was provided including a flannel to remove makeup. The Old Mill was very well placed to serve as a base for day trips for my wife and I around the Llyn peninsula and to Bangor and Conwy. We really liked the red and gold room in the Old Mill. The restoration and decoration has been done well. Very thick walls and double glazing so great for a quiet night. Very well decorated and furnished with all mod cons. The breakfasts were excellent and the provision of drinks making facilities and snacks and a fridge was much appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and warm despite the wind and rain outside. Carys and Paul were friendly and welcoming hosts.

We have stayed in countless hotels and B & B's, the length and breadth of Britain but Yr Hen Felin is undoubtedly the best.It is not just the warm friendly welcome, the delicious and plentiful breakfast menu that secures its position in top spot, but also the attention to detail! Little chocolate treats and cake left in our room and a superb selection of hot drinks to choose from.The house is beautiful, with tasteful decor providing a comfortable yet sophisticated ambience usually only seen in the pages of a magazine. Returned home last week and have spent all my time trying out paint samples and looking at wallpaper in an attempt to replicate the look that Carys and Paul have achieved in their stunning home. Oh and the countryside and coast are fantastic too!

How amazing this place is ,we couldn’t fault anything whatsoever about this place .The rooms are first class and has everything you need in it and so many lovely touches such as a well stocked bathroom plenty of items for us ladies.Everything you needed for tea and coffee ,wine glasses and cut glass tumblers. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. A friendly welcome from Paul, bara brith and even a little fridge in the room with fresh milk for drinks. A comfortable and beautiful large bedroom with comfy chairs and with views across the fields leading to my favourite coastline. Bathroom was also large with fluffy towels and all toiletries. We arrived a little early but were greeted with a smile from Paul. Paul showed us to our room which was absolutely gorgeous. We met Cary’s the next morning at breakfast , such a lovely lady and cooks a fantastic breakfast . The fruit bowls in the morning were so appetising especially with the homemade Greek yoghurt !! Yr Hen Felin really is in a class of it's own!We had a wonderful,warm welcome from Carys and Paul on our arrival, and had a superb 2 nights stay.We can honestly say that this is the finest B and B we have ever stayed in.The attention to detail was phenomenal, and Paul and Carys can be justifiably proud of their achievements over the years converting derelict buildings into such comfortable accommodation and creating such a lovely atmosphere.Our bedroom was luxurious in every way, and we had delicious breakfasts, beautifully served in a delightful dining room.It was a magical 2 days , and we cannot speak highly enough of their level of service and accommodation.Would love to return some day

I would highly recommend anyone to stay here - we were so luck to find it! A lovely arrival greeting from the hosts, Cerys & Paul, making you feel so welcome. The room was beautiful, great décor, very spacious, with a good size ensuite, thoughtful finishing touches like make-up remover pads, cotton wool balls etc, along with chocolate treats, if you found yourself having the midnight muchies!. There was the added bonus of a guest sitting room to use, if you had an hour or so to kill & didn't want to stay in your room. A fabulous cooked breakfast, eaten in a beautifully decorated breakfast room - only wished we could have stayed longer.As mentioned in the title, 'A Gem of a Find'.

Beautiful Rural setting, close enough to all the local attractions, ideal for anyone visiting the area, Hosts Paul and Cerris were great, the rooms have that very personal touch and this extends to your personal breakfast table in the morning. Highly recommended.

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and Paul and Carys showed us around, justifiably proud of The Old Mill. The rooms were large, well decorated, well furnished and well equipped. The sign outside says "B&B", but this doesn't do it justice. Quite often, when we overnight somewhere, we comment that the owners clearly haven't spent a night in the room they let, or they would register deficiencies and shortcomings. Not so here. This must be one of the best bed and breakfasts we've stayed in! Lovely spacious room with everything you could need and lots of great little touches. Nothing was missed. Breakfast was amazing in the prettiest dining room.You had your own little table to help yourself to cereal and fruit before a very tasty cooked, vegetarians well catered for if required.Couple who run the accommodation are friendly and welcoming. Beautiful Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a lovely setting. Carys and Paul made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the Rodyn room which was luxurious and so comfortable. We have recently returned from our second stay at The Old Mill this summer. Carys and Paul have gone to so much trouble to ensure that guests have the best of everything. They have paid amazing attention to every little detail and have created beautifully furnished rooms which are scrupulously clean and comfortable. The breakfasts, eaten at immaculately laid tables, each with its own station for the most incredible fruit bowls, cereals etc, are magnificent. Had a wonderful short stay at this very pretty and well run b&b.The friendly owners Paul & Carys keep the place spotless and have added many extras to make your stay special.We stayed in the Red & Gold room with its huge and very comfortable bed.The small fridge in the room was a great extra which we didn’t expect with fresh milk and also two bottles of water each dayalso great to chill your wine!The breakfasts each morning were delicious with a very good choice of menu especially loved the fresh mixed fruit salad starter. Yr Hen Felin is close to many beautiful beaches you can drive to or if you enjoy walking Morfa Nefyn is a short walk over the fields.Looking forward to another visit later in the year hopefully they won’t be fully booked as this is a very special gem ❤️

We spent two nights at Yr Hen Felin in the Red and Gold Room, which was equipped to a standard we had never seen before; every need had been catered for.The decor was beautiful and the super king bed was extremely comfortable.Breakfast was excellent and served promptly at 9.00.The choice of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. before the main event of sumptuous Welsh breakfast.On leaving, we congratulated our host Paul for the excellent standard throughout our stay.We were sorry that we had only booked for two nights!

Yr Hen Felin is a luxury B@B without the cost! The bedrooms, guest lounge and breakfast room are beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. This Guest House is situated in a quiet village near Nefyn with plenty of local facilities. The amenities are spotless , the breakfasts excellent and the attention to detail outstanding. There are lovely walks from the doorstep and easy access to the rest of the peninsula. Highly recommended.David

Lovely accommodation and the perfect hosts. This place is a real gem. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. They really do have a wonderful touch in interior design. We were treated to a cream tea on our arrival, which was a really nice surprise. The breakfast was fabulous and catered for every taste. The location is great for exploring the Llyn Peninsular and beyond. Loved our stay at Yr Hen Felin. On arrival made very welcome by Carys who served us tea and cake. Room very comfortable, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need on a trip away. Lovely walk from the door down to the little peninsula across golf course and back along the beach which we did both nights. Pauls breakfast was superb I'd even go to say one of the best we've ever had when we been away. The portmerion China it was served on really made it special and the attention to detail of giving a hot water jug and other little touches made it a 5 star experience. Carys and Paul are really great hosts and I would highly recommend a stay here.

This was our first visit to the Llyn peninsula and Paul and Carys made us feel very welcome. Our room was beautiful and very well set up, including thoughtful touches such as good coffee and a cafetiere in the room. It was spacious with two winged chairs to relax in when we were back at the B&B, ideal at this time of year to come and go during the day as we wished.The breakfasts were the best we have had anywhere, thank you Paul and Carys.We had dinner at The Ship, a stones throw across the road; very nice and started our short break off a treat.

The B&B was a very welcome cosy retreat after the walks. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever had at any B&B, we slept so well!The cakes upon arrival were delicious and the extra snacks were very welcome too after a day out.Having a fridge in the room was so handy too. It is a beautiful place with so much love and care put into designing it by Paul and Carys. Booked Yr Hen Felin at short notice as decided to revisit my childhood holiday destinations on the Lleyn .Arrived a bit later than expected and the hosts even phoned to make sure all was well. We had a wonderful stay at Yr Hen Felin thanks to our amazing hosts, Carys and Paul. Every detail was perfect, from the warm welcome through to the two great nights sleep, and the delicious, individually cooked breakfasts. We used our stay to explored the Welsh Coastal Path, which can been accessed via a footpath 100 yards up the hill from the front door. If you do the walk be sure to stop at Ty Coch Inn.Our room at Yr Hen Felin was beautiful, with dual aspect windows and a massive bed which we just sank into. The breakfast room is charming. Paul told us it's all down to Carys who picks the furnishings. Paul is a great cook.We stayed two nights and each night booked a table for dinner at the excellent Ship Inn in the village, a five minute walk away.We are already planning our return visit, this time we will bring friends with us. Recommended.

We received a warm welcome from Paul and Carys and were offered tea or coffee on arrival. The whole premises were immaculate and well presented.Our room was spacious, well equipped and homely with an amazing ensuite with good sized shower. A mini fridge in the room contained fresh milk and bottled water along side.The individual ramekins of fresh fruit were a lovely starter before the excellent cooked breakfast.

I had a very enjoyable stay at The Old Mill at the beginning of October (three nights). The coffee and cake on arrival was very welcome and my room (Rodyn) was spacious, lovely and very well equipped. The breakfast room was beautifully decorated and Paul was a brilliant breakfast chef! The attention to detail throughout The Old Mill was second to none. If I was in the area again I would not hesitate to return to The Old Mill.

Firstly I would like to thank Cary & Paul for their very warm welcome i was only staying 1 night however I'll certainly be coming back with my Wife for a couple of days. Everything about this beautiful B&B, more like a boutique hotel was incredible the attention to detail from the outside to the inside was FIRST CLASS so well done. I've stayed in fabulous places all over the country, including 5* star Hotels and the room I stayed in "Miller Super Kind En-suite" was SUPERB and immaculately clean and fresh. The breakfast was quality as well and you could certainly tell the ingredients was locally produced for sure whilst spending over 25yrs in the hospitality industry myself. This place and the surrounding area(s) are absolutely stunning a must visit for anyone wanting luxury at a fraction of the price of a 4/5* star hotel. Take care and I hope to see you soon. We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Old Mill. Our hosts Carys and Paul were very welcoming and the afternoon tea on arrival was a lovely surprise. The accommodation is exceptional with great attention to detail. Everything you could wish for in a room was there . Breakfast the best we have had and sets you up for the day. What a gem of a B and B this was , Fabulous hosts with paul and carys with a great location . After our introduction we was invited down to the living room for tea biscuits with scones and jam ,really nice touch. The old mill has been lovingly renovated to the highest of standards, spotlessly clean throughout and mixing old with new. Our stay at Hen Felin was amazing. Carys was a lovely host, meeting us upon arrival with a delicious cream tea was a lovely touch. Our room was the Miller suite & it had been decorated beautifully. The fact that we have been staying here for a dozen or so years says more than any words I can write.Carys and Paul are the most welcoming and friendly of hosts. They have a beautiful home which offers everything you could wish for in a top quality B&B. Breakfasts are excellent and really set you up for the day. And this year, as well as opening up new rooms, they have put Covid safe routines in place which make even the most nervous of travellers feels safe.

Our stay, for a local wedding, was perfect in every way...and I never say that lightly. The room (Blue and Ivory) was excellent: decorated with love and attention to detail and immaculately clean. The owners, Carys and Paul, have anticipated every possible need with afternoon tea to welcome you upon arrival, lovely toiletries, tissues and treats in the room; an excellent tea and coffee making tray; fresh milk daily in your own fridge; a cork screw and cut crystal wine glasses.....this list could go on. The breakfast was delicious; walking into the beautifully decorated breakfast room, the table set to bursting with Portmerion china was a stunning sight. Paul and Carys were the best hosts we have experienced and made us feel as we were the most important guests they had (as they did with everyone I'm sure). The whole experience was without fault and five stars from start to finish. They had worked above and beyond to make the stay covid safe. Thank you Paul and Carys.

We were meet on our first night by our host Carys who gave us a warm and friendly welcome. We were pleased to find that every great review previously read about this BandB was true. Attention to detail was first class and everything you needed for our stay was provided. The furnishings in the house were top quality and the whole place was a pleasure to stay in. Carys was ablely assisted by Megan at breakfast and they both provided a great start to the day. The accommodation is perfectly placed for reaching all parts of the Peninsula and very handy to reach beaches close by. We have just returned from our 2nd visit to Ty Hen Felin and cannot praise this B & B enough! Paul and Carys are the most friendly, welcoming people you could ever wish to meet, nothing is too much trouble for them! My husband has certain dietary requirements and after a quick e-mail to Carys everything was organised for him. The property is charming with a lovely welcoming feel to it, it is spotlessly clean and the attention to detail is amazing! Breakfast at Ty Hen Felin is a treat! The breakfast room is set out beautifully and the delicious breakfast is second to none! The B & B is in the small village of Eden, a good base from which to explore the lovely Lynn Peninsula and there is a pub nearby serving great food! Needless to say we love this place and can’t wait to return!

Splendid very clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Very good wifi signal. Also worth noting that there is a (free!)7KwH charger available in the Morfa Nefyn National Trust car park (parking free for NT members) less than a mile away from Yr Hen Felin, so no range anxiety for electric vehicle drivers.

We spent 3 nights at Yr Hen Felin in Edern, North Wales and every aspect of our stay was first class.Carys and Paul are a class act and nothing is too much trouble for them. On arrival after taking our cases to our room, Carys served us with cake and scones and a choice of coffee or tea. We were really impressed with the fact that having told her in advance that Pam was Coeliac, she served her Gluten free cake and biscuits!Our bedroom (The Red and Gold ) overlooked both the beautiful rear and front gardens the bed was huge and very comfortable there was a small fridge and a large en suite with a bath and shower. The breakfast was fit for a king (and Queen!), fresh fruit and yoghurt, a good selection of cereals, orange juice, tea, fresh coffee, toast and a wonderful cooked breakfast. (Paul's poached eggs where spot on every time!) we also liked the idea of being allocated the same table for the duration of our stay and the whole place was spotlessly clean. As you've probably gathered we were very impressed with Yr Hen Felin and would highly recommend it. Oh! nearly forgot, the young lady who served breakfast and cleaned the rooms also deserves a mention, her cheery personality and smile was the perfect start to every day. Ten out ten.

Very good contact via email before the visit with local information and directions. After being warmly greeted and having the Covid policy explained to us we were shown to one of the best rooms we have stayed in. Pictures do not show the very high standard of the bedroom and the en-suite and the small touches that make all the difference. The very high quality and plentiful breakfast kept us going all day. Cerys and Paul should be very proud of what they are offering at their excellent property.

Yr Hen Felin is an exceptional bed and breakfast. It is the best that we have ever stayed in. Carys and Paul were excellent hosts who gave us a warm friendly welcome and looked after us well. Beautiful decor throughout with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Large room with super king bed and large en-suite. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection to choose from. Yr Hen Felin is ideally situated for walking and exploring the Llyn Peninsula.Plenty of good places to eat in the area. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.

Yr Hen Felin is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Attention to detail was second to none, our every need was catered for. The breakfast was splendid and Paul and Carys made us feel like long lost friends. How difficult it has been for them during the Covid pandemic but they took such care to make sure we stayed safe. We stayed at Yr Hen Felin in March 2019 and September 2020 and slept in two of the three bedrooms. Owners Carys and Paul have worked hard to provide a seamless service to the highest standards in a charming and beautifully restored property. Every effort has been made to meet all the current Covid 19 regulations and we stayed feeling completely confident. This is a place to relax, read, and sleep soundly in. The garden areas are, perhaps, not quite so enticing because of the natural topography of the site with views of the village somewhat curtailed by the low-lying location. However, it is possible to sit outside on a lawn and watch the fascinating evening circular flight of the local pigeons! Highly recommended.

Our low lying location as you mentioned is due to the mill being built back in the 1600\'s when the scenery was not the most significant factor but the level and flow of the river was; this dictated it\'s location. Even in the middle of the night here you can see the stars shining, foxes barking, owls screeching, sheep braying for their lambs and last night we could clearly hear the cows lowing for their calves. This is something that draws our guests from far and wide. The pigeons that reside across the road are a familiar sight and have their morning and evening routine down to a perfect 10 minute circuit. We stayed at Yr Hen Felin for four nights and had the most wonderful time there. Paul and Carys have got it just right. We were given such a warm welcome by the couple. On our arrival we were served tea/coffee with home made scones and cake - delicious! We stayed in the Gold and Red room. It was very spacious and beautifully furnished. It had everything that you needed. Every morning we were served the most delicious, fresh breakfast setting us up for the rest of the day. Thank you Carys and Paul - you have a very special place and we hope to return soon. We can’t recommend Yr Hen Felin highly enough.

Knowing this area very well we were surprised to find this beautiful B and B tucked away. Lovely outdoor seating with little river bubbling under bridge. The inside was beautifully laid out with tasteful lounge and dining area. Bedroom and en-suite breathtaking. Hostsexcellent- attentive to detail and very friendly.We will return as soon as we can.

Carys and Paul have perfected the art of B and B.There is not one detail which has been overlooked.The room which we have stayed in on both our visits, Rodyn, is the most comfortable, welcoming space.Stylish and beautifully clean everything is to an impeccably high standard.The whole of the Llyn peninsula is accessible from their accommodation and they have, post Covid, created a safe and hygienic environment in which to stay.Providing each guest their own breakfast area only used by you - breakfast is amazing, you can choose exactly what you would like on your breakfast -and them providing hand sanitiser and wearing visors/masks to make their guests feel safe allayed any worries we may have had about staying away from home.We will definitely return and hopefully soon.

Wonderfully friendly couple running this who bend over backwards to please. Cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in-& I've travelled the world since I was 5.Their breakfasts are awesome and top quality.The grounds are so picturesque you don't really have to leave the hotel!Ideally situated for exploring the peninsular & four fabulous beaches within a couple of miles.Excellent value for money.Now that we've discovered this gem we intend to return again and again.Their corona virus precautions are utterly superb.I am sure that even the most fastidiously fussy guest would not, indeed could not, fault this establishment. What a fabulous find in a fabulous building in a fabulous garden in a fabulous area.12 out of 10!

What a treat staying for 3 nights in the beautiful Yr Hen Felin guest house which is situated in a lovely setting (well positioned near to beaches, excellent golf course, pubs etc). Stayed in the large Red and Gold room with lots of original features and extra touches. Slept very well in the large comfortable bed. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast to start the day. Hosts Cerys and Paul were attentive and very friendly, obviously taking great pride in their lovely property. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and look forward to returning very soon.

We felt very well looked after in this beautiful old mill. Our room was light and airy with a lovely colour scheme and lots of thoughtful touches. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We loved reading about the history etc in the visitors' book. The lounge and breakfast area were warm and relaxing, with family china on display and delightful table settings. The Llyn peninsular is stunning and the accommodation is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this. Nothing was too much trouble using our stay, great knowledge of the local area and things to do. Our room had all we needed, including a bath which was welcome after long walks. The Ship is a 2 minute stroll up the road for drinks and fantastic food.

Recently spent2 nights at this wonderful B & B everything was perfect. Was welcomed on the first day by Carys with a lovely tray of bara brith and scones with jam and cream. We travel often but this was honestly the best B&B we have stayed in.From the tea tray with cream scones on arrival to the sumptuous bedroom and the most wonderful breakfast each morning.There were so many little extras that make all the difference and the owners were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.It was a pleasure and we will certainly be staying here again.

Whilst this was expensive for us it was worth every penny!,,,it was the best B and B we have ever stayed in during many trips to the UK. The bedroom was huge, beautiful decor, the building itself is full of character, there was a gorgeous sitting room for us to use and the breakfast and breakfast room was beautiful with so much thought, attention to detail, quality in everything etc. we were welcomed with tea and cake, and have no hesitation in giving it 10/10 for everything. Breakfast was superb, little chocolate treats in the room were very much appreciated by us walkers and there was even a needle and tread and a box which also had all sorts of things you might need like, needles and thread, Panadol, even tampons! For walkers it was a great location and if needing the coast bus it stops outside. Local pub does great food and there is also a small grocery shop. Caris was wonderful too....

A friend recommended this lovely B & B and we were so glad we decided to stay here for 3 nights. We became aware of the tea lights that you had lit on the cushioned window seats the following morning. They had originally been placed on the tiled bathroom shelf. It became apparent to us very quickly that these could potentially become a fire hazzard when placed somewhere other than a tiled shelf and that is why they were removed and not replaced by us again for any of our guests. We have just spent a weekend in Wales staying at Yr Hen Felin for 2 nights. I can honestly say it was the most welcoming B and B we have every stayed in. The accommodation is 5 star, spotlessly clean and the attention to detail is outstanding. Cery's and Paul were very warn and friendly and 'Ginge' is the most adorable cat that greets you at the door. We consider ourselves to be well travelled people and occasionally we find somewhere that ticks every box and this is it. Will certainly revisit when we can.

The bedroom and en-suite shower room were excellent: thoughtfully, beautifully and generously furnished. All you needed, and more, was provided. The dining room was comfortable and breakfast included a lovely fresh fruit salad and a tasty, freshly cooked, full Welsh breakfast. Carys and Paul were friendly and attentive at all times. The Ship Inn just up the road was handy for evening meals. The location is excellent for accessing all the delights of the Llyn Peninsula, including the coastal path. We had no mobile (EE) connection so were dependent on Wi-Fi for staying in touch with our daughter. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was unreliable in our bedroom (Rodyn).Great beach and coastal path walks on the Llyn Peninsula. Interesting National Trust centre at Porth y Swnt and lovely manor house at Plas yn Rhiw. The Ship Inn, just a few minutes walk away, has great food.

As mentioned to you during your stay you would have been more than welcome to use our land line to make contact with your daughter and the Wi-Fi is usually 90% working in \'Rodyn and certainly does work down the stairs. We, as you noticed, have had all the Wi-Fi extensionsplaced throughout our 400 year old property and in the main do wrok as well as can be expected. We do include in our description the fact that sometimes the W-Fi cannot work due to the 2 foot walls.Again, apologies if this did cause you an inconvenience.On the Llyn nearly all the mobile connections are hap hazzard; we as locals have complained time and time again to the various networks regarding this, alas to no avail.Hope that trying to contact your daughter at her concert did not stop you from visiting the Llyn again and hope by now she is well and back into her studies at Uni? Bed was super comfortable, beautifully decorated premises and a lovely breakfast. Carys and Paul offer a very warm welcome and are very knowledgeable about things to do in the area. Very close to Y LLong, which serves fabulous food.

This really is a gem of a place to stay, beautiful decor. Lovely design touches with incredible attention to detail. Luxurious spacious room with lovely ensuite and garden view. The welcome started with a hello from Ginge the cat and continued with a surprising and very lovely tray of tea and cakes served in the cosy lounge. Breakfast was superb and served in another delightful stylish room. Cerys was q lovely hostess and we enjoyed chatting together about the local area. The Ship across the road served great food which made our mini break complete. The walk across Nefyn Golf Club to the famous beach beauty spot and access to other attractions makes this the perfect stay. Highly recommended.

This is a simply superb B&B.A warm, friendly welcome and a beautiful old house brought up to modern standards,furnished with impeccable taste and elegance.The room had everything you could wish for and more.We have stayed in 5 star Swiss hotels which were not as well appointed as this.Breakfast was superb with lots of choice of fresh locally sourced ingredients.It is situated in a quiet village within 2 minutes walk of an excellent pub-restaurant so no need to drive around looking for somewhere to eat in the evenings - a real bonus for us after a long day's walk. The owners are also very helpful for those who want to explore the area and the wonderful coast path.We will be back at the first opportunity.Can not be recommended highly enough.

Thanks to Carys and Paul for a welcoming home-from home.From the cream tea on arriving to the filled flask of coffee on leaving, nothing was too much trouble.Clearly proud of their restored water mill, countryside and language they suggested places to go, and taught me to pronounce Uwchmynydd correctly.Room was comfortable, breakfasts just excellent and the house is well stocked with reading both on local history, sights and rainy-day reading.Location is central within Llyn with good roads to Aberdaron, Porthcawl and Criccieth and beyond.Easy walk across fields to the interesting Portdillaen peninsula to watch the boats, drink the beer at the famous Ty Coch inn and have lunch even off season - if you have room!Strongly recommended.

This B and B is quite simply the best we have ever stayed in. We were greeted with tea, scones and cake in the residents' lounge and things just continued to get even better from there. This is a beautiful B&B where the owners have gone the extra mile to provide many little extras that make your stay perfect. Both very well equiped and clean, and a good breakfast provided to start the day. The Old Mill is ideally placed for touring the Llyn peninsular. Within easy walking distance of the Ship for good food and drink, with other good restaurant pubs a short drive away. The number of returning guests indicate how good this is.

This was a gift to my parents to celebrate my Dads 80th birthday. We couldn't have asked for it to be any more special for them. The welcome was friendly and warmly reassuring for my parents. Their room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Mum loved the milk supplied for her tea. Dad loved the assortment of chocolates. Breakfast which we were able to join them for from our caravan was delicious. Freshly cooked, plenty and lots of choices and personal touches. My husband really appreciated the Ukrainian Flag put out to greet him alongside the English flag. Carys and Paul leave no stone unturned to make the stay personal and special. We could not have been made to feel more welcome on arrival, and our room and all the facilities were immaculate. Attention to detail is everything, and this is present in abundance at Yr Hen Felin. The owners, Carys and Paul, could not have been more helpful at every turn, and we really felt their genuine warmth. They are very kind, nothing is too much trouble, and they have a great sense of humour. The practical arrangements are simple and effective. Fresh milk in the fridge every day for coffee and tea. Fabulous breakfasts. The building has been very sensitively converted and restored by Carys and Paul. The Mill is located a short walk (well, a quarter of a mile) from the beautiful Lleyn peninsula coast. We were made to feel completely at home, and cannot recommend this B & B highly enough.

Made most welcome, attention to detail was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, even down to a special breakfast request. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful b&b. So much thought has been put into this old mill and if you have turned up and forgotten something, don't work cos your hosts will have thought of it for you! Given the extremely high standard of the accommodation and overall experience this B&B offers fantastic value for money. The hosts are very attentive and we were even offered a cuppa and cakes on arrival, served in the lovely lounge in peace and quiet. Breakfast was great with a good selection on offer, including fresh fruit and yoghurt etc. Couldn't fault it!

Excellent – From the moment we got there we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.Our room was the best by far we have experienced in any boutique B&B, Paul & Carys really have thought of everything, our room was spacious, clean and welcoming even down to the extras that were supplied.We stayed from Friday early evening and left after breakfast on Sunday, the food was superb which went down well after our good nights sleep.Thank you both, we would definitely recommend your home and will certainly be back.

The Old Mill has been lovingly restored and has bags of character. The rooms are very well appointed with nice touches such as fresh milk and book selection. Breakfast is freshly cooked and there is a great selection of fruit. We look forward to returning.

Cannot fault our stay from moment we arrived until we departed. Lots of thoughtful little extras in the room which was beautiful as was the rest of this lovely old building. A place was provided for my friend and I to store our bicycles undercover. Breakfasts were 1st class! Will definitely be back.

Stayed at yr hen felin for 3 nights in ivory/blue room. Room was lovely,every home comfort you could wish for. The rest of the house was very quaint, attention to detail was spot on. Breakfast was too early for us, 9am on the dot, as the clocks went forward on the Sunday, this was effectively 8am, we decided to miss breakfast that morning. Proprietors were very attentive at breakfast, introducing guests to one another before being seated. We did find this uncomfortable and OTT. The food was very nice, plentiful, and something for everyone. A great place to stay if you like being made a fuss off, off putting if you dont.

We really enjoyed ourselves and the rooms were peaceful and comfortable. Breakfast wonderful also.

This was our first visit to Llyn and we were very happy to have discovered Yr Hen Felin.We only stayed one night but it was a joy; a lovely property, spacious and characterful, a wonderfully warm welcome and lots of special touches.Unexpectedly, it was only 2 hours from our home in Cheshire, so we'll be going back!

Having stayed three times before, this time we took our grown up children and booked all three rooms. We had a fantastic weekend despite the weather. Paul and Carys were as warm and friendly as ever, and the breakfast superb, the rooms are all beautifully decorated, this time we stayed in 'Rodyn having previously stayed in the Red and Gold room both are of equal quality and full of extra details, fresh milk in the fridge, wine glasses & corkscrew!! The breakfast room and lounge, which we made much use of,are both beautifully decorated and sumptuously comfortable. On arriving home we realised one of the girls had left a necklace behind, I immediately emailed and Carys replied that it was already parcelled up and ready to send. Amazing!! We definately wouldn't stay amyehere else on the Llyn. Thanks again Carys & Paul

We had a lovely, relaxing time at Yr Hen Felin. Carys and Paul could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Our room was large, beautiful and comfortable and they had thought of everything to make our stay worry free. Included in their package were not only the usual toiletries but also complimentary bottles of water, sewing kit, paracetamol ... If I come back to North Wales I am sure to visit there again and I will be recommending them to friends and family.

We currently spent two nights at the old mill. We had a fantastic break the attention to detail was superb and Cerys and Paul were very helpful and friendly. Over the years we have stayed in nanny B&B but the old mill is simply the best. We will be staying there again. A must stay B&B.

We stayed here on the weekend of the 16th to the 18th of May and had a lovely time. The rooms are huge with super king size beds and en suites. There is a big choice for breakfast, including making poached eggs on toast which wasn't on the menu. We would go back with no hesitation, a real gem.

Paul & Carys run their B&B immaculately. We've now stayed in all 3 bedrooms, each are superbly equipped, good bathrooms and super comfy beds with good pillows. Lovely tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk. Breakfast is really outstanding starting from a nice bowl of fresh fruit continuing to a really well cooked full works with local produce. Paul & Carys are super hosts, provide a very warm welcome and have a wealth of knowledge about all the local sites, pubs & restaurants. Can not recommend highly enough - we always enjoy our stays!

Large, clean and luxurious rooms. Very friendly owners and generous breakfast. The pub in the village provides excellent evening meals. The local golf course (Morfa Nefyn) is a gem and has to be seen to be believed. Lleyn Peninsula remains the most tranquil part of Wales.

We enjoyed a lovely week in this superb B & B at the end of April.
